A taste of the season!

Spring is just around the corner. This is a time to certainly come for a visit and enjoy one of our wonderful homemade soups combined with a a sandwich or one of our specialty salads.
March will be our Saint Patrick's Day Celebration with a wonderful Celtic Harpist for your entertainment.
Please book as soon as possible so you won't be disappointed. Don't forget about our Girlfriend's Dinner on the third Thursday.
If your are planning a staff or family gathering please feel free to contact us. We will arrange a wonderful meal for any party from 20 to 36 in number.
For those who enjoy theater, we do dinners on specific nights for South Simcoe Theater. Just contact the box office.

We are continuing with the very popular"Girlfriend's Night" which is held the third Thursday of the month.
We are also collecting sheets and material which are being made into quilts for newborns in Africa.
I am also a Rotarian belonging to the Alliston Club who are raising money for the people in Haiti. We are able to provide shelter boxes which contain ground covers, portable stove, toys for children and other basic necessities to sustain 10 people for 6 months. Each tent costs $1000.00 so please drop by with a donation. It will go towards helping numerous people.

Welcome to the Princely Pear Tea Room & Guest House. We pride ourselves in offering you creative, home-cooked lunches as well as delightful "Afternoon Teas".
The Princely Pear Tea Room encourages you to discover a pleasurable dining experience. We set ourselves apart in the industry when we opened in 1993, by becoming smoke-free and fry free. We were instrumental in acknowledging the effects of Gluten in the diet.
Our challenge is ongoing for creating a menu that is pleasing to the palette, the eye and the budget. The ambience of our warm décor invites companionship with family or friend. Our list of tea’s available from black to herbal or a roibus, allow everyone to find something to please a palette. |
Although our commitment is to continuously and consistently offer memorable lunches and afternoon tea, our patrons have requested that we cater special occasions. We have hosted Anniversary and Shower dinners, Social Club and Service Club dinners, little girl’s tea and Birthday parties and small weddings.
In the fall of 2008 we embarked on a new fun venture entitled “Girlfriends Night Out”. Held the third Thursday of the month, and featuring a two choice, three course meal at a very affordable price. The event has become a sell out. We partner with a local charity or another community group thus creating a theme for each of these evenings. A great win / win “night out”.
Situated at the center of downtown Cookstown, a quaint Village preserved in time, the Princely Pear Tea Room adjoins some interesting shops. Our Boutique, next to the Tea Room offers a selection of home décor and personal accessories. Dessert treats offered in the Tea Room may be purchased in our Bake Shop for future indulgence. We have a Multi dealer Antique mall on sight laden with unusual treasures. A floral shop next door completes the memorable experience.
Spoil yourself and visit us soon. Come for a while or come stay overnight in our deluxe bed and breakfast suite. So much, so close, so personal. |
